Check for:
- Are you on a Dynamic IP? If it changes during connection, you'd likely lose the server

- Similarly, are you using a VPN that's somehow changing your IP during connection?

- Is your firewall program dropping\blocking the connection?

- Is your router somehow interfering after connection to the server?

- Is your wi-fi device driver up to date?

Run8 V2 and V3 use the same network library, the only difference being V3 has some mods so it can support IPv6 addressing. If you happen to have V2 and are able to connect to a V2 server normally, but not with V3 to a V3 server, check for:

- Antivirus\firewall program is allowing V2's exe, but not V3's; Exclude\Unblock as necessary

We had one user who was having this problem even over his LAN, and he seems to have fixed it with the following:

- Flushing his DNS

- Resetting his ipconfig
